Wikipedia for the Win

Whether you’re love it or hate, feel it is the greatest tool ever created or feel it is "their" tool to spread subversive and dangerous misinformation the fact of the matter is that Wikipedia is growing exponentially in users, contributors and sheer volumes of data every single day (please see hyperbole for more on this statement).

The major win for me in this whole saga is that Jimmy Wales has proven himself to be a man of his word, he said he would never charge a fee for the services Wikipedia provides and he hasn’t… plus he hasn’t bloated it with advertising.

With this in mind here’s my contribution to the save the whale wikipiedia cause… if you use the site or at least buy into Jimmy’s “Imagine a world in which every single person on the planet has free access to the sum of all human knowledge.” vision** then be sure to show your support by donating at: wikimediafoundation.org
